The World Ends with You: Final Remix releases September 27 in Japan, “It’s a Wonderful Bag” edition revealed

Square Enix has just announced that The World Ends with You: Final Remix will release on September 27 in Japan. Final Remix is the enhanced version of the Nintendo DS original set to be released on the Nintendo Switch.

A Special Edition of the game was also announced called “It’s a Wonderful Bag” edition that will be exclusive to the Square Enix e-Store.

It’ll sell for 17,000 yen which is roughly $155 and include the following:

  • A copy of the game
  • Mini soundtrack CD
  • Art book with an acrylic cover featuring art by Kobayashi Hara
  • Stylus pen
  • Acrylic stand featuring the game’s protagonist Neku
  • Maki-e stickers
  • Tin badge sticker set

A new trailer for The World Ends with You: Final Remix was also just put up, check it out below:

Final Remix improved upon the original by using crisp HD resolution graphics and assets. It’ll support the Switch’s touchscreen and Joy-Con controls and will allow players to have local battles using one Joy-Con for each player. It’ll also have a new scenario featuring the appearance of new reapers.

Lastly composer Takeharu Ishimoto has made new songs and arrangements for the game in addition to high quality versions of the original songs. The game will give you an option to switch between the original and re-arranged soundtrack.
