Titanfall 2 On PC May Not Have A Physical Disc

The release of the highly anticipated Titanfall 2 is just a little over a month away, and now new sources may indicate that the PC retail release of the game might not have a physical disc at all.

This information comes courtesy of Twitter user Wario64, who uploaded an image a few hours ago of what appears to be the official box art for the PC release for Titanfall 2. In the upper right corner of the image are the words, “Download Only, No Disc Included.’

While this may not be guaranteed proof that the game won’t have a physical disc, it would not be surprising if this turned out to be accurate. Previously, games such as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain have come out with a retail disc for PC, but the only content included were the Steam Installer and not the game itself, so a retail release with only a download code might not be too shocking for PC users anymore.

Back in August, Respawn Entertainment held two official Tech Tests for Titanfall 2 in order to stress test their servers. More recently, the developers also released a brand new trailer for the game showcasing the six new types of Titans that will be present in the game.
