Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint Requires You To Be Always Online

Ubisoft recently showcased Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint for the first time. It is out later this year but unlike Ghost Recon Wildlands, this appears to be strictly an online-only game.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is an online co-op multiplayer shooter set in a massive world. The player is the one who is constantly hunted in this new world hence the importance of stealth for this latest Ghost Recon game.

While the game was confirmed to offer online co-op, there are no offline AI partners, unlike Ghost Recon Wildlands. This means it won’t be possible to play the game offline. Ubisoft has also confirmed this information in a tweet by the official social media account.

Tom Clancy’s The Division and Rainbow Six Siege both require an active internet connection so this is not a new decision made by Ubisoft. However, it is different from how they handle Ghost Recon Wildlands and since this is the successor, it is bound to disappoint the fans who wanted to play it offline.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be out on October 4th, 2019, for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
