Top Selling Games On Amazon US & UK In 2018: Spider-Man, Red Dead 2, Smash Bros. And More

Amazon has released their best selling video games in 2018. We have taken the result from both UK and US websites to see which games have managed to top the list.

Amazon uses the video game category for not just software but the hardware as well, so this means accessories are counted in their Top 100 sellers. For most years, these lists are dominated by the digital currency cards for PlayStation Store, Xbox Live, and Nintendo eShop, however, there was a surprise this year.

Top Selling Video Games On Amazon US In 2018

  1. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
  2. Red Dead Redemption 2 – PS4
  3. Super Mario Party
  4. Marvel’s Spider-Man
  5. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
  6. Super Mario Odyssey
  7. Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu
  8. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – PS4
  9. God of War
  10. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The ranking above is not based on the Amazon Top 100, since if we count them as per their ranking, then accessories will be far higher. We have just taken the video games in the ranking list and separated them into Top 10 selling games. You can browse the full list here that includes more games like Spyro Reignited Trilogy for PS4 at 50 and Octopath Traveler at 54.

Top Selling Video Games On Amazon UK In 2018

  1. Red Dead Redemption 2 – PS4
  2. FIFA 19 – PS4
  3. Marvel’s Spider-Man
  4. FIFA 19 – Xbox One
  5. Red Dead Redemption 2 – Xbox One
  6. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
  7. Spyro: Reignited Trilogy – PS4
  8. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  9. God of War
  10. Forza Horizon 4 – Xbox One

The same methodology applies here. This result was taken from Amazon UK best selling product in video games for the year 2018.

Some important things to mention here is that these sales are for Amazon retail only, and likely don’t factor in any digital sales. As for the Sony PlayStation exclusives, they might appear lower but Amazon wasn’t open to pre-ordering or selling Sony games for a while in 2018, so there is potentially a lot of missed sales here due to this issue occurring near the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man.
