Being a primarily hardware company, Nintendo wasn’t always the best at software. Evident by their unnecessarily long 3DS content transfer process explained in a sub 4 minute video on their YouTube channel. Moving your stuff has never been so complicated.

For a recap to transfer content from our old 3DS to a new one we’ll need the existing 3DS, its SD card, the New Nintendo 3DS XL, Micro SD card of similar or larger size, size 0 Phillips screwdriver, a computer and finally an adapter or device that will accept both the SD and microSD cards.
For comparison, the PS Vita only requires you to setup your existing account on a new system and you can downloading all your stuff to it. Now that’s how it should be done.
