There have been a lot of rumors recently about the next Far Cry game and that Ubisoft Shanghai is contributing in it’s development.
The details on the unannounced title remain slim, Ubisoft Shanghai’s Studio Design Manager Xavier Plagnal claims to have been serving as “Content Director on the next Far Cry” since September 2013.
He previously worked as the content director on Splinter Cell: Blacklist’s Hunter co-op mode and worked on NCIS: The Game, Beowulf and an undisclosed Ubisoft Action RPG.
Ubisoft Shanghai have also contributed in the development of Far Cry 3 alongside Ubisoft Massive, Ubisoft Red Storm and Ubisoft Montreal.
Though Ubisoft has not announced the game. The publishers have been teasing us by saying that the details will be revealed soon.
“It’s a great brand,” said Ubisoft’s senior VP of marketing and sales Tony Key, speaking of Far Cry 3’s success, “and now it’s got the recognition it deserves, so we’re clearly going to make another one: more on that soon.”
Could Far Cry 4 be revealed at E3?
Hopefully this game will be just as good as the last one. Ubisoft did an amazing job with every element of Far Cry 3. The Visuals, the gameplay, the story, etc. The list goes on and on. But Ubisoft always delivers so we have nothing to fear.
