Assassin’s Creed Odyssey recently had an update that increased the level cap for the game, and now Ubisoft has clarified how they want to tackle this issue for those who hit the level cap.
In a detailed post over at the Assassin’s Creed subreddit, Ubisoft has commented on the level cap situation and clarified how this works. They also have plans to make some changes to it as detailed by the community manager. They will release Assassin’s Creed Odyssey update version 1.08 to address with some of the issues that are currently being faced by the players.
We’ve been seeing quite some activity surrounding two topics, the XP to Ability Points transfer and Upgrades after Level 50, that we’d like to discuss below.
XP transfer to AP
For those of you who don’t know what to do with all these ability points, we’ve got a “little” surprise: we’re working on a new feature that will make ability points a lot more valuable.
Here’s a sneak peek:
For the question why all max level players received the same amount of ability points: there wasn’t a clean way to convert XP to Ability points so we decided to grant every player who reached level 50 prior to patch 1.0.7 the maximum amount of ability points. We believe this is the best possible outcome for all of our max level players.
Engravings / Upgrades after Level 50
Following Patch 1.0.7, a lot of players pointed out issues related to engravings on items past Level 50. Thanks to your feedback, we’ve investigated and detected two issues related to this that will be addressed in our next patch.
The first issue is with the Detailed Statistics page [affected perks below] that makes it seem like perks values are decreased when upgrading past level 50. We are looking into this and want to assure players that the stats are functioning as intended and this is only a display issue affecting the below:
- Damage with Bow on Distant Targets
- Damage against Spartans
- Damage against Athenians
- Critical Hit Chance while Full Health
- Critical Hit Chance while Low Health
- Critical Hit Damage while Full Health
- Critical Hit Damage while Low Health
- Headshot Damage
The second issue regards poison damage and fire damage which is currently being calculated wrong.
Again, thanks for your dedication and attention to detail, a fix will be coming in the next patch.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is available now on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
