Ubisoft has high expectations attached to Nintendo Switch. They believe that the gaming console will take the company back to where it used to be during its prime, by bringing back the Wii fan base.
Nintendo Switch, as you all know, is a hybrid video game console being developed by Nintendo. It is the company’s seventh major home console expected to release somewhere during March 2017.
During Ubisoft’s E3 press conference this week, EMEA boss Alain Corre had the following to say:
“We have big expectations for the innovative Nintendo Switch. Our Just Dance franchise, for example, is one that people enjoy with families. With the Nintendo Switch in hand, children, their parents, or even their grandparents, would be able to dance out in the backyard on holidays. Doesn’t that sound exciting (laughs)? The hardware really helps expand the possibilities of fun; people of all ages will be able to play games anywhere. We hope to have a wide variety of software available, but we’re unable to go into details just yet. Sorry (laughs).”
Although there is no confirmation about this, but if rumors are to be believed, Nintendo switch will have a retail price of just under £200. This price is being suggested by a listing on Gameseek’s website. The listing also quotes March 17 as the exact release date for the console, with a disclaimer, “Please note that release dates are subject to change by the manufacturer.”
Only time will tell whether Nintendo Switch will be a success or not.
