Capcom has announced a new version of Street Fighter IV. The announcement was made at their Evo 2013 panel. This new version is called Ultra Street Fighter IV and is the fourth iteration of Street Fighter, following the original, Super Street Fighter IV and the Arcade Edition.
You can watch the trailer for it below:
Players who own Super Street Fighter IV or the Arcade Edition can upgrade to the Ultra version for €14.99/$14.99, digitally. The retail or downloadable version of the game will go for €39.99/$39.99. All previous costume DLC will be present in the game. 5 new characters will be added to the game, including Poison, Hugo, Rolento, Elena and a completely new character that has never been in a Street Fighter game before. Poison, Hugo and Rolento were available in Street Fighter x Tekken, so expect their moves to be the same as they were in that game. 6 new stages will also be added. Furthermore, pre-order bonuses include costumes from Udon.
The game will come out on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in early 2014. I guess this is the last version of Street Fighter IV (thankfully – I got tired of upgrading), meaning that we’ll see Street Fighter V on the next-generation consoles.
