It appears that someone at Sony accidentally put up a listing for the unannounced Uncharted Collection on the PS4, which was probably meant to get an official reveal at E3. The leak all but confirms the existence of what is now probably among Sony’s worst kept secrets.
The remastered trilogy, which will feature Uncharted 1: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, is now known as Uncharted: A Nathan Drake Collection. If the name sounds eerily similar to the naming convention Microsoft used for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, it’s because the similarity is that obvious!
Not a whole lot is known about the technical features of the PS4 collection besides the obvious bump in resolution and frame rate to 1080p and 60fps, respectively. It’s likely that each of the games will also feature a dedicated photo mode, much like how Naughty Dog’s other big PS3 title, The Last of Us, did.
It wouldn’t be unreasonable to believe that this remastered collection is scheduled for release some time soon, given the mobile storefront listing. Oddly enough, a similar leak for The Last of Us Remastered also happened weeks prior to E3 last year. Could it be that these leaks are deliberate? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
