The PS4 exclusive horror title Until Dawn is set for release on August 25 in North America and August 28 in Europe.
Supermassive Games’ title has been missing in action for quite some time now, and it’s good to know that development is on track for a Summer release. The game seems to take a wealth of inspiration from Cabin in the Woods and other similar movies where a group of teenagers are stranded in a remote location and getting murdered one by one at a time by some supernatural force.
Originally shown as a PS3 title in 2012, Until Dawn has since been retooled for the PS4 and is now running on Guerrilla Games’ in-house graphics engine that was first used in the developed of Killzone: Shadow Fall. It was initially touted as a PS Move title, but the controls have now be revised to function with the Dualshock 4.
Those interested can pre-order the game now and receive an exclusive bonus scene. A Steelbook edition of the game will also be available at launch, but details regarding other extras are not yet known.
