Until Dawn developer, Supermassive Games is working on several new unannounced PlayStation exclusives.
Supermassive Games are the developer behind Until Dawn, one of the surprise PlayStation Exclusive hit that released early in the console generation. They worked on a couple more project after that, but there was never any large scale project like Until Dawn from them again. They are currently developing a set of anthology horror stories that will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
When asked why their first game in the upcoming horror anthology, Man of Medan, is not a PlayStation 4 exclusive, Supermassive replied back with the following comment.
Well, the relationship with Sony is still excellent. We are working on several unannounced PS-exclusives. True, it is impossible to talk about them in detail. In general, I really wanted to present our work to the widest possible audience. That is, The Dark Pictures needs to be released on several platforms.
This doesn’t really answer any questions regarding the nature of the project. It could be more small-scale projects like they worked on for the PlayLink or PSVR, or it can be another game like Until Dawn which has a big scope. We will find out once these projects are officially revealed.
Until Dawn is available exclusively for the PS4. Supermassive worked on Until Dawn which utilized the Decima game engine by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony.
