After an initial report surfaced yesterday by PC Gamer that Mafia III was locked at 30 frames per second on the PC, developer Hangar 13 made an official announcement regarding an upcoming patch that would rectify the problem. Now, an update to that announcement has been made.
In an official post on the game’s website, the developers have announced that not only will the new patch bring a number of improvements to the game, but it will also allow it to run at 30, 60, and even an option for unlimited frames per second.
The patch is currently in testing and is expected to roll out some time this weekend.
Set in the year 1968, Mafia III tells the story of Lincoln Clay. After being betrayed, and having lost everyone he cared about at the hands of the IItalian Mob, Lincoln begins to wage a war against the Marcano Crime Family. Joining him on his mission are his Underbosses Cassandra, Burke, and, protagonist of Mafia II, Vito Scaletta.
