Nintendo’s website has revealed that on Thursday, June 23rd, they would add three Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games to the Wii U Virtual Console. The three games are coming to Wii U for the first time, including Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team for the Game Boy Advance, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky for Nintendo DS.
Red and Blue Rescue Team were released all the way back in 2006, while Explorers of Sky was released in 2009. The games are finally getting re-releases, and Nintendo has also said that fans should remain on the lookout for more Pokemon Virtual Console titles releasing later this summer.
These popular games involved the player finding out he’s turned into a Pokemon, and has to team up with a partner Pokemon in order to uncover his purpose, or save the world from destruction. The player treks across various randomly generated dungeons, battling all sorts of Pokemon and recruiting them too.
The prices for the re-releases have not been revealed as yet, but we’ll likely find out this Thursday, June 23rd. How do you feel about the Mystery Dungeon series’ getting ports to Wii U Virtual Console? Let us know in the comments below!
