Visceral Games Confirmed to Be Lead Developers for Battlefield Hardline

When fans leaked information regarding the upcoming Battlefield game, it was unclear who was involved in the development of the game. Fans thought that DICE will be developing the next Battlefield games as they have been doing an amazing job so far but by the looks of a few images uncovered in the code, it was unclear who the lead developer was.

A couple of days ago, the General Manager of Visceral Games, Steve Papoutsis, confirmed that Visceral Games was indeed the lead developer of Battlefield Hardline.

He also revealed that Visceral Games will not only be working on the online multiplayer for the game but they will be working on the single player campaign as well. However DICE isn’t completely out of the picture as he said that they will be working on the multiplayer as well as the single player “with collaboration from DICE.

This will be the first time that a Battlefield game will not be developed by DICE. This isn’t surprising because DICE already have a lot of their plate as they are already working on two highly anticipated games, Star Wars: Battlefront and Mirror’s Edge 2.

Battlefield Hardline will be coming out sometime this fall and it will be available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
