Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide Is Coming To Consoles This October

Developer Fatshark has announced that their game, Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, will be coming to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is a multiplayer-only, first person co-op shooter. The game and it’s mechanics are very similar in structure to Valve’s Left for Dead series, although the focus is more on a combination of melee, magic and gunplay. Each of the game’s 5 heroes, the Witch Hunter, Dwarf Ranger, Waywatcher, Empire Soldier and Bright Wizard, are equipped with their own unique weapons and abilities.

The game is set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe in the city of Ubersreik, which has been run over by a rat-like enemies known as the Skaven. Together players must fight off hordes of these enemies in order to further progress through the stages, at which point, a dice roll system is used to determine the weapons that players get. Different characters receive different loot, and the amount is varied depending on the difficulty of the level.
