With the Beta for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare set to go live tomorrow for the PlayStation 4, developer Infinity Ward has just released a brand new trailer that showcases the in-game Weapon Crafting mechanics.
Once a weapon has been unlocked by the player, they are then able to obtain Prototypes for that same weapon through the game’s crafting system. These Prototypes are available in four different rarity levels, Common, Rare, Legendary and Epic, each of whom possess their own unique perk combinations.
The way to obtain these Prototypes, is through the use of a new in-game currency known as Salvage. Playing the game will net players Salvage, which can be earned in a number of ways, that can then be used to craft the Prototype that fits their specific playstyle.
The crafting system will first appear in the Infinite Warfare Multiplayer Beta that is set to hit the PlayStation 4 on 14th October. The Beta will feature three multiplayer maps, five game modes and all new mission teams. You can check out the trailer for the beta, as well as information about the new specialist weapons, here.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is set to release on 4th November, 2016, for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC. You can also check out the new Zombies In Spaceland mode here.
