Weird New Death Stranding Trailer Revealed At The Game Awards 2016

The Game Awards 2016 is now over, and we got a look at a number of new trailers and game announcements during the event. Among these, was a brand new trailer for Hideo Kojima’s game Death Stranding. If you thought the first trailer was cryptic and confusing, this one might not seem too different either.

In the new trailer, seen below, we see a man who is clearly designed after director Guillermo Del Toro heading into a sewer while trying to flee a military force. Not only does he have the same futuristic handcuffs seen in the first trailer attached to his hands, but he also holds what appears to be an incubation tank holding a very responsive baby. We know, it’s weird.

Moving forward we see a unit of the same military force standing at the end of the sewer. The leader of this unit is Hannibal actor Mads Mikkelsen, and the rest of them are skeletons. Upon lifting his night vision goggles, the leader’s entire headgear disappears into thin air, revealing a face seeping with the same black oil that was not only present earlier in the same trailer, but also in the reveal trailer.

There were also some weird tentacle, wire things coming out of Mads Mikkelsen. It’s very cryptic, and we suggest you watch it yourself to get a better look.
