Red Dead Redemption is rumored to be the first multi-disc game on the PS4, and most likely Xbox One too.
Gamestop recently posted some promotional material for the game encouraging customers to pre-order the game. The image featured an interesting side shot of the game’s case, which looks much thicker than the standard PS4 case.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be sized 105GB on the PS4, making it the biggest before-update sized game on the Sony console. Blu-ray discs usually come in 25GB and 50GB capacities, so you’ll likely need multiple discs to store all that data.
There are BDXL discs which can handle storage in the range of 100GB but the PS4 and PS4 Pro do not support those.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be the biggest game on consoles when it releases, it kind of does make sense that it takes so much space.
