Windlands Will Now Be Available On PSVR But At A Higher Price [Update]

Update: Psytec Games have reached out to us to confirm that this increased price is a mistake and have issued the following statement.

“Playstation Store prices should now be correctly shown as £18.99 and €23.99 (different regions may vary), if you purchased at a higher price in Europe earlier today, please contact your local Playstation Store customer services for a partial refund.”

The UK PlayStation store has quoted a price of £32.49 for Windlands. This is much more than the price previously stated by developer Psytec Games. The difference in prices seems to be of about 60%. This contrast in prices is very surprising, especially considering the fact that the same game is available for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive at a price of £14.99.

Players have vocally shown their dissatisfaction regarding this discrepancy in prices on Reddit. Some users have expressed that they will not be buying the game for PS4 at all, while others have used words like ‘inexcusable’ and ‘cash grab wave’ to describe the price increase.

Windlands is a VR exploration game where the player is allowed to travel through the ruins of a fallen civilization while coming across secrets of the ancient world. The game is designed to suit the needs of both, players who like to relax and take their time exploring their surroundings, as well as, players who like speed and challenges.

Some of the best features of this game include multiple routes full of optional challenges, a calm and goal oriented gameplay, hidden areas and new paths that allow the player to revive the demolished world, and much more.

Despite these amazing features, users might be discouraged by the 60% price increase of Windlands on PSVR and may decide not to purchase it at all.
