The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt developers CD Projekt Red released patch 1.04 on PC yesterday but console fans have yet to even get the 1.03 patch. So what’s taking so long you ask? Well the patches take longer to get certified by Sony and Microsoft leading to them releasing later on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Console fans have been complaining left and right on Twitter about them not getting the patch. CD Projekt Red Community Coordinator Marcin Momot however was nice enough to update fans on the situation.
@ParabellumTR Unfortunately we can’t give the exact date. Patches on consoles need to be certified so it takes longer than on PC.

Later the confirmed that the patches were indeed sent for certification.
@Splat_86 Yes. The console patches are in certification right now. As soon as they are approved, they will be released.

He then explained the reason for the delayed console patch.
@Webseyparker No. As I mentioned in the previous tweet, the console patches are on the way. It takes longer to release them though.

The Witcher 3 on console has some pretty glaring issues like the occasional dip in frame rates. Hopefully the upcoming patches fix these issues as the game itself is great and the experience shouldn’t be ruined by such problems.
