The Witcher 3 Day 1 Patch Enables Dynamic Scaling, Bumping Resolution Up to 1080p On Xbox One

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was originally supposed to run at 900p on the Xbox One and 1080p on the PS4 but it seems like CD Project Red has managed to find a way to run the game at 1080p resolution on the Xbox One.

According to a new press release and video sent by CD Project Red, the development team is still hard at work on the Xbox One and PS4 version of the game, and they have managed to enable dynamic scaling on the Xbox One, which results in a resolution that switches between 900p and 1080p depending on the processing requirements of the game.

The video you’re now watching is grabbed directly from an Xbox One console. We’ve been working to give gamers an even better experience on Xbox One and, on day 1, we’ll bring you dynamic scaling from 900p to 1080p. We’re not much more than a week before launch, but we’re still fighting for every line of code — we want gamers to get the best possible experience we can deliver.

You can see the gameplay video showing this dynamic scaling in action on the Xbox One below.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be officially out on May 19th 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
