The Witcher 3 New Game Plus DLC To Be Released After Patch 1.08; Achievements Won’t Be Awarded Retroactively

CD Project Red has revealed some new detail on the upcoming update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Answering various users on the official CD Project Red forums, Community Lead Marcin Momot revealed that the New Game Plus DLC won’t be released before Patch 1.08. He also confirmed that achievements won’t be awarded retroactively once Patch 1.08 is released. So if you are stuck with a specific achievement, like the Gwent card collector achievement, you won’t get it after installing Patch 1.08 provided you fulfill the conditions. You will have to do it all again for Patch 1.08.

In addition to this, Marcin Momot also teased that the Devil’s Pit area — which is currently unreachable in the game except with cheats — will be a part of the upcoming paid DLC.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to receive a new update soon. CD Project has released the full patch notes for this latest update, which you can read from here. This new patch will also fix the performance of the game on the PS4 and Xbox One.
