The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is just a few weeks away from its official release now. It is currently being previewed by various media outlets and as the game went gold a few weeks ago, we are also getting to see more footage from the final build of the game.
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has also received some criticism against its graphics over the course of its development, where the game was unable to match the look of its early footage. Although the final build does seem to match most of the pre-release footage. You can check out one such comparison in the screenshots below. The comparison is between the final build versus the VGX and Sword of Destiny trailer.[twentytwenty] [/twentytwenty] [twentytwenty] [/twentytwenty] [twentytwenty] [/twentytwenty]
The most noticeable difference is of course the lighting in each of the scene. While the general graphics remain the same, the lighting has been changed, probably to meet the art direction of the game. It could have been different to show a better view in the trailers compared to the final build. There are also some slight tweaks including different characters and armor.
What’s obvious from the above comparison is that the game retains its look very well from all of the pre-release footage. The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt releases May 19 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
