Normally when we save screenshots of any game on PS4, they are named automatically usually by their game name followed by the date + time of the screenshot. This is not the case for The Witcher 3 though, as the developers have used a unique naming scheme to save the screenshots on the PS4.
As can be seen in the image below, the developers have made the screenshots much easier to find by saving them based on the name of the in-game location. Suppose we take a couple of screenshots in the very first area “Kaer Morhen”, they will be saved with the name of that area and not a generic auto generated name.
This helps with locating your favorite screenshot from a particular location instead of having to sort through randomly named screenshots hoping you can get the one you prefer. It is not really a mandatory feature but it is nice to know that CD Project Red has implemented this in their game. It is hard to figure out the games that utilize it so The Witcher 3 might well be the first game to have used it in a meaningful way.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on May 19th 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
