CD Project Red has confirmed that they won’t release a PS4 Pro patch for their action RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The critically acclaimed Game of the Year has received two major expansions post-release in addition to multiple patches that have fixed almost every issue or bug with the game.
Despite the great release post-launch, CD Project Red aren’t keen on updating the game to support the upcoming PS4 Pro features. In am email, shared by reddit user govind1262, CD Project Red has confirmed that they won’t patch Witcher 3 for PS4 Pro support.
The reason that they gave for ignoring PS4 Pro is that their developers are currently focused on Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and Cyberpunk 2077. Both of these are the upcoming projects in development at CD Project Red.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the most successful game for CD Project Red, both critically and commercially. It has shipped 10 million copies worldwide and also took the throne from The Last of Us for winning the most Game of the Year awards.
CD Project Red has released a Game of the Year edition of the game recently that featured all the updates and expansions for the game on disc.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
