The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Xbox One Version Looks Great, Compared With PC Version

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is now available in the Middle East, as stores are selling the PS4 and Xbox One version ahead of the official release. As it is the case with such broken street dates, we are getting Livestreams of the game from various users on the PS4 and Xbox One.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Xbox One version has been curiously missing from most of the official release footage but now that the retail version is in the hands of users, we are finally getting a look at how the Xbox One version looks and we can have an idea of how it compares to the PC version.

If you want to take a livestream of the game, you can head over to The Witcher 3 Twitch directory. There is also an Xbox One stream live on Twitch but it will get likely taken down.

You can check out a comparison between the Xbox One version of the game and the PC version revealed by IGN in April. Keep in mind that the comparison seen below is not direct-feed but it is rather taken from a compressed stream.

The most obvious difference here is in the character model. PC version has a higher quality character model compared to the Xbox One. The lighting also seems to have been toned down slightly, with the character models sporting a higher quality of shadows and ambient occlusion on the PC version. The cloth textures in general also seem to be a step back from the PC version, which shouldn’t be surprising considering the difference in hardware.

Of course, no one had expected the Xbox One version to match the PC version of the game, but it is nice to see that even if we compare the Xbox One version to the PC version maxed out, the game still looks great on the Xbox One.

Let us know what you think about this The Witcher 3 comparison in the comments below.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases May 19 for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
