E3 2017 is now officially over and like every year fans are at blows with each other over who ‘won’ this year. After what many would call ‘underwhelming’ showings by both Sony and Microsoft, many were helming Nintendo this year’s champs after they announced and showed off several new games. Some of the notable inclusions from Nintendo’s E3 Direct were a new ‘Core’ Pokemon game and Metroid Prime 4, both headed to the Switch.
Publishers like Ubisoft and EA had strong showings while many slammed Bethesda for coming unprepared with little to show. YouTube like every year’s E3 has compiled their list of what trailers gained the most views from those shown off at E3. Check them out below:
The above numbers are for all of the games’ trailers posted on YouTube, here’s the top 10 for the highest viewed induvidual trailers:
- Star Wars Battlefront II – 7.9M views
- Super Mario Odyssey – 5.5M views
- Marvel’s Spider-Man – 4.5M views
- FIFA 18 – 4.0M views
- Need for Speed Payback – 3.4M views
- Call of Duty WWII – 3.3M views
- Forza 7 – 3.1M views
- Mario + Rabbids – 3.0M views
- South Park: The Fractured But Whole – 2.7M views
- Assassin’s Creed Origins – 2.6M views
Personally surprised Dragon Ball Fighter Z made the top 10, guess the hype is behind Arc System Works and as a Dragon Ball fan I’m pretty happy about that. Call of Duty: WWII being so low is also surprising considering the views previous entries have gotten in the past, is the COD bubble finally about to burst? Assassin’s Creed seems to be as popular as ever with Origins, even after taking a year long break. Which game are you surprised to not see in the top list?
With 4 games in the top 10, can we claim that EA won E3 this year? Who do you think won E3 this year? Let us know in the comments.
