World of Tanks is a massively online multiplayer action game featuring Tanks. It is available on the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. The game features an all out war online between the various players utilizing tanks and it has proven to be a surprise hit for the developers, Wargaming.net.
In a new developer Q/A, seen at reddit, they have confirmed that the game will have support for the Xbox Scorpio. Infact they are already running the game at native 4K on Scorpio hardware and while it doesn’t confirm 4K resolution, it does hint at it.
It will be interesting to see the developers attempting support for Xbox Scorpio since the game also offers similar enhanced support for the PS4 Pro. While the Xbox Scorpio is supposedly running it at full 4K resolution, it fell a little behind on the Pro by rendering at 3200×1800 resolution, which is the upscaled to 4K on the PS4 Pro.
World of Tanks is a free to play MMO action game from Wargaming. It features up to 15 vs 15 player battles online and it has been a great success for the developers so far. It remains to be seen how much popularity it attains on consoles especially after a native 4K version is released.
