The recently announced Xbox One S does not have a dedicated Kinect Sensor and will require a USB adapter to connect Kinect cameras available right now.
More details on the console can be found here.
Considering that the console will be priced at $299, the exclusion of a Kinect module is not alarming. The Kinect camera for the Xbox One sells for $99 new, so that’s definitely a saving on Microsoft’s part. This is great as it gives you a choice, unlike when the Xbox One launched with the Kinect bundled in and gamers had no choice but to get it.
