Shadow of the Tomb Raider was just released but Microsoft was generous enough to offer it free to someone on his birthday.
This story was shared by a reddit user who talked about sending the official Xbox UK Twitter profile. He tweeted asking that instead of advertising Tomb Raider on the Xbox Dashboard, they should send him the full game instead since it is his birthday today. This was more of a joke response but Xbox UK was quick to respond with a message telling him to check Direct Message on Twitter.
The message that he received was the full game code for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which he had to redeem on the Xbox One in order to add the game to his library. This was a surprisingly nice gesture from the Xbox UK social media account even though the original intention of the tweet was more of a joke.
Still, don’t expect to start getting free codes by asking them from other official social media accounts since I doubt they are given that easily. It does make for a nice story to share with friends or family.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is available now for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It offers a 4K resolution, HDR and enhanced textures for the Xbox One X.
