Xenoblade Chronicles themed New Nintendo 3DS faceplate releases in April

Nintendo has announced that they will be producing an official Xenoblade Chronicles themed faceplate for the New Nintendo 3DS. The faceplate will release on April 2 for 2000 yen (roughly $17) in Japan. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, port of the original Wii release for the New Nintendo 3DS will also release in April.

The faceplate as seen in the image above features the Monado, a sword of limitless power wielded by Xenoblade Chronicles’ protagonist Shulk.

The only disappointing bit about this announcement is that the faceplate, as most of you know, are only for normal versions of the New Nintendo 3DS and not the XL. North America was unfortunate to only get the XL version of the new portable console so no faceplates for them.
