The critically acclaimed Wii JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles will finally release digitally on the Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow i.e April 28 as announced by Nintendo earlier today. This will be the first time the game will be available digitally after releasing back in 2012 in North America.
Physically versions of the game have been very hard to find with the game being sold for up to $100 on eBay. Nintendo botched the game’s release in North America by underestimating the demand and only selling the game through Gamestop. The Digital version of Xenoblade Chronicles will be available for $19.99 which will enable those who don’t want to pay a premium to finally get their hands on the game.
Here’s an overview of the game:
Discover expansive environments and deep character customization options as you delve into an epic conflict between the Homs (humans) and Mechons (robots). Explore the game’s unique upgrade system, battle system, and relationship-building system as you fight to change the future with trusty allies and the ancient Monado blade.
The game’s eShop page can be viewed here.
Personally Xenoblade Chronicles was easily the best JRPG of the last generation and one of the best games of all time. With a great story and killer battle system, the game is definitely worth a try.
