Youtube backs BunnyHop, rescinds Konami’s copyright accusation

A few days ago, we reported that Konami had taken down a BunnyHop Youtube video that featured a transcript from an alleged employee who accused the company’s CEO of mismanagement and his unfair treatment of game designer Hideo Kojima. In the latest update, Youtube has stepped in and vetoed the video, overruling Konami’s Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) claim.

In his follow-up video, BunnyHop discusses Youtube’s positive role, and how Konami was unable to fully take down his video due to a lack of proper explanation. It’s certainly great to see Youtube fighting for the rights of its members, especially given the sensitive circumstances surrounding Konami’s accusation.

We’ll keep you posted with further updates in this regard as they happen.
