Developers Nihon Falcom has just announced that Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, the latest entry in the series bound for the PS4, will release in Japan during Fall of 2019. Previously the game was given a broad 2019 release period, but now we have a specific time period of Fall 2019 which this year lays between September 23 to December 22.
Announced last year, we haven’t gotten to see much of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox other than a few images and interviews but luckily first gameplay is due to be shown later this month.
Falcom also released some new artwork, which could be hinting at the “different” Adol Christin that game director Kondo was hinting at previously.
If you still haven’t noticed yet, look at the character’s hand and the shadow behind it. Could it mean that Adol lost his hand in the events leading up to the game? Or could it be some kind of transformation?
Looking forward to Ys IX: Monstrum Nox? I sure am since the game seems like a much more mature take compared to previous entries in the series. Let us know your thoughts below.
