Ys: Memories of Celceta – Kai announced for PS4, releases May 16 in Japan

Falcom has just announced Ys: Memories of Celceta for a PS4 releases in Japan, the game will be released as Ys: Memories of Celceta – Kai.

The Kai tagline is used by re-releases and remasters by Falcom. Their recent Kai release was for the first two Trails of Cold Steel games last year. The aforementioned games will be coming Westward soon courtesy of XSEED for PS4.

Ys: Memories of Celceta – Kai will cost 3,980 yen at retail and a discounted 3,500 yen via PSN. The game will be available on May 16 in Japan, a Western release has not yet been confirmed.

First print editions of the game will also include a copy of “The Collected Ys Music of Ancient and Modern Times.”

Ys: Memories of Celceta – Kai will support higher screen resolution and textures running at 60 fps. The new release will also feature higher quality audio. Since the original was released on the PS Vita with some elements exclusive to the portable console, they’ll be reworked for the PS4 release.
